From a love of receiving a beautiful handwritten note, whatever the occasion, came the idea for a range of bright and fabulous stationery on unusually thick card. The thought behind a simple gift, a delicious dinner or a weekend away deserves appreciation. And when you're taking the time to write, it's so much better on a gorgeous card. Simply put, Spritzblue's stationery is a celebration of the art of writing and gratitude.

My background is in advertising and writing, and most recently children and teaching them the important things in life. Living in West Sussex between the Downs and the sea, it's often hard to find original and affordable stationery. And so, Spritzblue was born. The name was easy - the blue of the water that surrounds us...

Spritzblue's stationery ranges are all about bold and simple designs. I love a serif typeface, a bit of foil and bright, bright colours. But what really sets us apart is the thickness of the card. My luxury ranges are printed on 540gsm - it's almost board, whilst my alphabet ranges are on an impressive 400gsm stock. It's something you can't see on a website, but you know it when you feel it!

All the paper I use is Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified, which means it is all fully sustainable. My luxury range paper is milled in the Lake District, with all the by-products 100% recycled. And I am changing to recyclable cello to protect our packs of cards. And finally, my printers are local, which keeps my carbon footprint to a minimum.
